It all started with Anne Rice. That saucy old gal brought vampires back in vogue in a huge way when her book, Interview With a Vampire, was released as a movie. Since then, it’s been a steady stream of vampire books and movies, and that trend has peaked in recent years with shows like True Blood and movies/books like the Twilight Series and Amanda Hocking’s best-selling Kindle books.
So yes, I’m sick of vampires. Aren’t you? I thought zombies might be our salvation, but lately they’ve been overdoing that, too.
